Heidi's Bio:
Heidi Proffetty is an awarding winning art quilter, teacher and photographer known for her mosaic style of art quilts. She uses her original technique and a Janome Artistic Edge digital cutting machine to create her quilts. Inspired by the photographs she takes, she transforms her photos into mosaic designs and then uses the digital cutter to precisely cut the small and intricate fabric shapes. The fabric pieces are then fused and free motioned quilted to create her emotional and stunning mosaic quilt designs.
Heidi has written for several publications, including Quilting Arts Magazine. She has been a guest artist on Quilting Arts TV and a featured quilter on the online show, The Quilt Show, episode that aired on March 10, 2019. She lives in Massachusetts with her husband and two teenage daughters.
