Lesson 10 - Digitizing Redwork
The technique we used to manually outline the yacht with run/triple run stitches is exactly the same technique that is used to create redwork designs. If we look at the border we've just created without the rest of the embroidery, it is a redwork version of the yacht.
Click View, Show, Selected Color Only... to isolate the color black.

The Select by Color window will appear. Select black to highlight it, then click the OK button.

Note: The graphic image of the yacht will reappear. Click the Display Image icon to toggle it off.

There are two black objects in the yacht embroidery along with the outline, the mast and the bottom of the boat. They can easily be selected and deleted.
Click the Select icon.

Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and at the same time, click the two black-colored objects.

Press the Delete key to remove them from the embroidery.
To change the color of the outline, select it by drawing a boundary box around the entire embroidery. Click a point above and to the left of the yacht and then dragging it across the embroidery.

Click the Thread icon.

Click color red.
Deselect the outline.
Click the Visualizer to see the redwork.
