Lesson 14 - Manually Digitize Flower - 3 (Continued from Lesson 13)
Now that the leaves are finished, it's time to digitize the flower stem. Position the bitmap on the design screen so you can see the entire flower stem.
Click thread color 269 Meadow (or a color you choose) on the Color Chart.
Notice that the maze box is currently located at the stem of the second leaf. We need to determine how to sew the flower stem so you get the most efficient embroidery. Our suggestion is to walk stitches to the bottom of the stem. Then, start the satin stitches from the bottom of the stem and sew up the stem into the flower petals.
Click the Run Line icon.

Click reference points from the stem of the second leaf to the bottom of the flower stem.

Press the Enter key to generate the walking stitches.
Click the Turning Angle Fill icon.

To set the Underlay, Click the Object Details icon.

Click the Underlay tab. Click the down arrow in the Stitch Type box. Click Center Run. Click OK.

Click reference points up the flower stem to the petals.

Press the Enter Key to generate the stem.
