This cute little bunny is the perfect companion for your candy filled Easter basket. He would just love to hop in and go to a loving home. He is lightweight and hand washable so he can be easily laundered and stored away for next year. This is a heart-warming project that does not take long to complete.

Instructions:

  1. Select a Straight stitch. Adjust the length to 1.8. Be sure to sew on the lines where indicated.
  2. With right sides together, fold fabric in half.
  3. Trace one body, two ears and two feet.
  4. Sew on the lines where indicated. Be sure to leave open the bottom of the body and the ears. For the feet, sew all around, do not leave opening.
  5. Trace two ears on the fusible web. When cutting them out, cut inside the lines about 1/8".
  6. Fuse to ears.
  7. Press all pieces to set seams.
  8. Trimming close to the stitching, cut out all sewn pieces.
  9. Turn body right side out and stuff with Fiberfil.
  10. Close opening at bottom with hand sewing needle and thread.
  11. Make a small vertical slit at the bottom of each foot. Dab with seam sealant to prevent fraying.
  12. When sealant is dry, turn feet right side out and stuff.
  13. Close slits with hand sewing needle and thread.
  14. Adjust stitch length to 4.0.
  15. Sew toe separations.
  16. Turn ears right side out and press.
  17. Apply blush in center front of ears.
  18. Use a hidden running stitch to gather and close the opening for the ears.
  19. Attach ears to top of body.
  20. Apply glue to hand stitched area of feet. Attach to body.
  21. Apply glue to white pompom. Attach to body to form tail.
Note: Feet and tail should be attached so that bunny has perfect posture and stands independently.
  22. With the black pen, draw eyes and mouth.
  23. Apply glue to pink pompom. Attach for nose.
  24. Using the craft filament and the large eye needle, pass filament through body to make three whiskers. Do not knot thread, clip as needed.
  25. Dab a small amount of glue at base of whiskers to keep them from coming out. Trim to desired length.
  26. If desired, dab a small amount of glue to the ears so they remain close together.
