sew through thicker fabric
I am new to sewing and just purchased a Skyline S7. I am trying to sew pleats in a small hand towel to hang up and my sewing machine just keeps getting stuck and doesn't sew. I tried my accu feed and still will not sew through the fabric. It is not that thick so I'm thinking I am doing something wrong. Any ideas?

It's hard to say as I can't see how you are feeding your fabric through the feeding system. You definitely don't want to pull the fabric, however, you can help it along a little with gentle pressure - at least to get it started.

Next, what kind of fabric are you sewing? How many layers are you feeding through? If it is quilting cotton, 3 layers and even if some over lap to say 5, you should have no problems at all, but the fabric does need to get under the needle and the feed dogs should feed it from there on - regular or even feed flex foot. I suggest you practice on some snaps of fabric and various types if you have some.

Also talk to your dealer, or a friend that may have some sewing experience. Show them what you are trying to do and see if they can give you some help.
