Using a Quarter Inch Seam Foot

Janome Educator Nancy Fiedler provided Sew4Home helpful tips, techniques and samples for sewing pintucks with a 1/4" seam foot. These pintucks are narrow and are most well-known in the world of heirloom sewing, but they can add a lovely bit of detail to many kinds of projects.

In the article, Nancy demonstrates how to set everything up and provided step-by-step instructions for using decorative stitching between tucks on a 9mm machine. Nancy used the Horizon Memory Craft 15000 machine for her demonstration.

    Made by Maureen Cracknell

Janome Artisan Maureen Cracknell made a Diamond Weave Quilt using a variety of prints from her Wild and Free and Fleet and Flourish collections. She separated red, peach and coral value prints from the ones colored navy, aqua and blue to reveal a fantastic quilt design.

Maureen lives in rural Pennsylvania and all of her quilts are inspired by her beautiful surroundings. The Diamond Weave Quilt Block was made with the Janome Horizon Memory Craft 15000 machine. The block sews up quick to an 11" unfinished square, a wonderful size for making both small and large quilts.
