Janome Partners with Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts On Exclusive Sewing Machine Collection
Collaboration brings Edyta Sitar’s signature quilting aesthetic to two Janome machines, alongside a limited-edition Block of the Month series
MAHWAH, N.J. — August 24, 2026 — Janome America, a leader in sewing, quilting, and embroidery innovation, today announced a new collaboration with acclaimed quilt designer Edyta Sitar, founder of Laundry Basket Quilts (LBQ), bringing her signature quilting aesthetic to two Janome machines and introducing a limited-edition Block of the Month experience.
The collaboration introduces the CM6 LBQ and 5300 LBQ, customized versions of Janome’s existing CM6 and 5300 models featuring exclusive designs inspired by Sitar’s fabric patterns.
Sitar, a recognized figure in the quilting and fabric design community, brings her distinctive aesthetic and devoted following to the collection. Andover Fabric is also part of the collaboration, with its patterns featured throughout the collection.
Available beginning August 24, the CM6 LBQ and 5300 LBQ will be available for pre-order through Janome dealers nationwide, with machines arriving in stores by the end of September. For pricing and availability, consumers are encouraged to visit their local Janome dealer.
A Limited-Edition Quilting Experience
Alongside the machine collection, Janome and Edyta Sitar are introducing an exclusive Block of the Month (BOM) series featuring a Snowflake/Winter Lace-inspired quilt design created and led by Sitar. The three-month experience gives sewists the opportunity to create alongside Sitar and includes:

• Exclusive quilt pattern
• Laundry Basket Quilts book
• LBQ Snowflake mug
• Two LBQ Snowflake dish towels
• Aurifil LBQ Snowflake thread kit
Beginning October 1, Edyta Sitar will guide participants through the collection with a three-part video tutorial series on Janome’s channel, walking sewists through each quilt block on October 1, November 1, and December 1.
The BOM kit will be available beginning September 1 through participating Janome dealers. Given the limited quantity, interested sewists are encouraged to contact their local dealer for availability.
