Sew4Home compiled some great tips to help a teenager start sewing or inspire them to sew! Don’t be surprised if a teenager you know wants to start sewing. Nowadays, teens are more independent than they ever were! They love to look up to other young people who “make” things and use their creativity to the fullest.

In the article, Sew4Home mentions that excellent Janome starter machines are the Magnolia 7318, Jem Platinum 760, 2212 and the Hello Kitty 18750.

    Sea Glass Quilt

"As I started dreaming of a beach vacation, all of the vibrant colors of the ocean came to mind. Since I always BYOQ (bring your own quilt) on vacation, I wanted to make a quilt that reflected the colors of the ocean and the sea glass found in the sand." - Janome Artisan Michelle Hart of Baby Got Bobbin

Create your own Sea Glass Quilt for your summer vacation using Michelle's tutorial below. She made this wonderful quilt with the Horizon Memory Craft 15000.

    By Samantha Walker

There is nothing more perfect than fresh berries that are straight from the farm! Janome Artisan Samantha Walker made these beautifully embroidered Jam Jar Covers with her Horizon Memory Craft 15000 for the homemade jam she makes in the summer.

Samantha included two embroidery designs - one with writing and one without. She also included two size options for each design. This will allow those with smaller hoops to also create the design. There are two different attachment methods for the two sizes; the larger size will accommodate a wide mouth jam jar when you use the ring lid attachment method.

Create these colorful jam jar lids using Samantha's helpful tutorial below. These are also cute on store-bought gourmet jam if you need a quick gift and don't make your own jam.
