Let’s admit, the best time to go on vacation is during the long, cold winter months. What better way to travel than in style! Sew4Home’s trio of travel necessities can be made as a matched set or you can create each one individually. The talented team combined the Janome Skyline S7 with the Memory Craft 500E to create a wonderful, spacious tote bag, device case and zippered pouch.

This beautiful bag and device case was made with Kaufman FabricsSevenberry of Japan lightweight canvas. It is tough enough for heavy use, but still soft to handle. The finished tote is 11” x 14”; the case is sized to fit a standard laptop and the pouch is 7" x 6" to fit makeup, accessories and change.

    By Stephanie Kendron

"February is the month of LOVE which means all of the hearts and candy. I love making things that are quick, but useful. Using the Janome 1600P-QC makes piecing super fast, yielding a quilt top in no time at all. That is my kind of project.

I have always enjoyed working with different types of fabric because the end result can be very surprising. When I knew what the pattern would be for this project, a heart quilt of course, I thought it would be fun to use something lighter than quilting cotton. I chose Heather Ross' new cotton lawn line called Sleeping Porch with Windham Fabrics." - Janome Maker Stephanie Kendron of Modern Sewciety

A Valentine's Quilt by Michelle Hart

"I wanted to create a bright and bold pattern using a simple design. The colorful design on my planner cover provided a starting point. I dove into my Kona cotton stash and randomly placed colors to create a vibrant kaleidoscope effect. This design would also be a great way to use your scraps and is charm square friendly." - Janome Maker Michelle Hart of Baby Got Bobbin

Michelle made this beautiful quilt for Valentine’s Day using the MOD-200 sewing machine. Click here to follow her directions and make one for your special friend this month.
