    Quilt-As-You-Go by Susan Emory

Susan Emory of Swirly Girls Designs was stoked when Janome asked her to review the new Horizon Memory Craft 9400 sewing and quilting machine. Susan has been using the MC9400 for a variety of different projects over the past few months and she loves all of its great features!

Some of Susan’s favorite features are the Dual Feed Foot AD (the walking foot) and the retractable High Light™. She mentions in her review that this is the best walking foot she has ever sewn with as it is easy to attach to the machine and is quiet, steady and smooth. In addition, Susan found the lighting on the machine to be extremely helpful during some of her late night sewing sessions. The best part of the lighting is that it doesn’t get hot and make the sewing area uncomfortable.

As the holidays are shortly upon us, Susan made a wonderful quilt-as-you-go table runner using the walking foot for the entire project from piecing, to quilting, to binding.

Introducing the Maker Series at Janome Canada

In lieu of the new M Series machines to launch soon, Janome Canada Artisan Sherri Sylvester started her new Maker Series on her blog Thread Riding Hood. Sherri sewed up three beautiful Maker Aprons of different styles as part of Janome Canada’s M Series Look Book. She has lots of great tips, tricks and a new free pattern download planned for the next three weeks.

Before you download any of Sherri’s patterns, it is important to first take her “What’s Your Maker Style?” quiz. Regardless of what your style is, in the next few weeks, Sherri will be talking in detail about each of the different patterns and how you can make each apron yourself!

    Table Runner

October is here! Not only do we love this month because of all the pretty autumn colors, but mostly because there are so many fun and exciting holidays amongst us. Janome Artisan Lonni Rossi’s silver and gold table runner is the perfect project to make for an elegant Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas or even New Year!

First, the plain black fabric is painted with bold brush strokes and then embroidered on the Janome Horizon Memory Craft 15000 featuring Lonni Rossi’s design motifs. You can quilt it if you use the batting or you can emit both of those and just add a backing.

An MC9400 Review and Project by Maday Delgado

Janome Artisan Maday Delgado of Free Spirit Designs by Maday was super excited for the launch of the new Horizon Memory Craft 9400 machine that she went to her local dealer in Wisconsin and bought it for herself! Ever since Maday started working on the MC9400 machine a few months ago, she could not wait to take Janome readers on a tour of it.

Even though Maday's MC9400 machine is her own and not a Janome loan, she was so kind enough to inspire our followers with a wonderful review and beautiful autumn quilted table runner tutorial. The features Maday loves on the MC9400 are the mirror image option for decorative stitches, extra lighting, a reliable and super fast needle threader, three needle plates, the monogram letter options and the 9mm feet that come with the machine.
