Janome Supplies Required
- Janome Sewing and embroidery Machine – Milinda uses a Horizon Memory Craft 12000
- Hoop B
- Janome Polyester Embroidery Thread
Fabric and Notions Required
- JEF file in-the-hoop pocket Download Here
- Tear-away stabilizer
- 9” by 8” piece of chevron fabric
- 9” by 8” pocket backing fabric
Instructions
Instructions:
Step 1: Hoop tear away stabilizer
Step 2: Center chevron fabric in hoop and use spray adhesive to stabilize
Step 3: Place hoop in machine
Step 4: Open .JEF file.
Step 5: Sew color 1, outlining pocket
Step 6: Using the monogram feature on your machine, center monogram on pocket.
Step 7: lay backing fabric on top of pocket (leave hoop on machine!)
Step 8: Sew Color 2. This will sew your pocket, leaving a hole for turning
Step 9: Remove from machine. Trim outside of pocket. Remove tear-away stabilizer and turn pocket right side out.
Step 10: Iron pocket. Sew opening closed. Turn hem of pocket down and machine stitch.
Step 11: Place pocket on t-shirt, pin and sew.
