Don’t throw out those worn denim pants! Give them a second life as an upcycled quilt. Using fabric straps and your Janome serger, create a unique and sturdy quilt that will come in handy during picnic season!
Janome Supplies Required
- Any Janome Serger
- Scissors
- Pins
- Rotary Cutter/Ruler/Mat
- Seam sealant or large eyed needle
Fabric and Notions Required
- Lots of old blue jeans (goodwill stores are great for this)
- Yardage of denim fabrics to supplement if you didn’t have enough jeans. (I purchased 2 yards of 3 different shades of blue)
- 8 – 1 yard sections of assorted cotton prints (food/bugs are great for this)
- 4 cones serger thread
