MC 11000
I just purchased a used mc 11000, i don't believe it is coming with any cd's for software, what software, if any do i need to download to utilize?

The machine should have all the software it needs already installed. There were several software updates however. Those used to be available from the Janome website. There have not been any updates for years, so I don’t know if the are still available.

There was also a hardware and software combination that took the MC11000 to a MC11000SE. The hardware required a repair technician to install parts into the machine.

You can check what version of software your machine has by reading the software version information during boot.

There was a program called Customizer 11000 for that machine. It is absolute now and probably not available from Janome, however, a dealer might have a copy that is collecting dust on their shelves. This was editing software for a PC computer and had limited capabilities, but was good to see a design on a large screen, add lettering and combine designs. However, it is not necessary to have to operate your 11000.

The last update of the first Janome 11000 was in about 2009 or 2010 when the Janome 11000SE came out. That was the version when the machine needed to go to the dealer to have a component added physically to the machine for the complete update to work. The was another software update about a year later to V3.

When you power on your machine, check to see what version you have. You need to watch closely because that is the only time the version shows up. If you have purchased an original 11000 latched in about 2007, you won't be able to do any of the downloads available from the Janome Global website. This would need to be done through an authorized Janome Dealer, providing they can still get the software from Janome. There have been several new machines, ie: the 12000, 14000 and 15000 and a few less pricey embroidery sewing machines as well.

it spits the bobbin around remarq
to the back side of the bobbin case and jams my needle witch is bent/broken in the case and some times I can bring it up but other times I have had to take it in to get it undone.

Jake, if that is happening often, you need to take it in to be serviced. Get the technician to check for any burrs that might be on the metal that houses the bobbin case. If needles have broken or the bobbin case jumped out rather violently, the metal could have been scored. I had this happen really often when I had the 11000 and that metal part was never scored, but the technician had a part #OILSTONE which fit in where the bobbin case goes and can take out any burrs on that metal piece. You will need to replace the bobbin case and I wouldn't use any that had spun out as they usually get damaged and then the threads will catch on them over and over and you will always get that bobbins spinning out. Also get the technician to check the little spring that hold the bobbin in place as it may be weak from this problem if it occurs often. The more information you can tell the dealer to pass on to the technician the better results you should receiver.

Congratulations on your purchase of the Janome MC11000! The machine comes with built-in embroidery designs and basic editing functions. However, if you want to create your own designs or edit existing ones on your computer, you may need additional software.
Janome offers several software options for their machines, including Digitizer MBX, AcuDesign, and Artistic Digitizer. These software programs allow you to create and edit embroidery designs on your computer and transfer them to your MC11000 via USB or direct PC connection. lol shot io
