Edge Stitch foot

Can I use this foot on my Continental M7?
Edge Guide Foot | Part Number: 202100003
It says I can't on the Janome site, but it seems to fit all the other machines that have feet compatible with the M7, like the Memory Craft 12000 and 15000 and the Skyline S9, etc. I would love to purchase it, but am afraid I will damage my machine. Seeking any and all help/guidance!!! Thanks!

Yes you can use the Edge Stitch foot on your M7. I use the rule that IF the foot fits and is a Janome foot, I will try it. You can sew very slowly and it will show a problem immediately after a stitch or two are sewn - just be very careful and you might want to use the "hand wheel" on the side and just walk a couple of stitches first.
