Magnolia 7330

I am using my machine mostly for gifts for my grandchildren. I have worked on fleece and cotton mostly. I am presently making a flower girl dress out of satin and tulle. I have not had any trouble so far with the various materials and seams that I have been wanting to make. I have had the machine for about 1.5 years.

Simply love this machine. I am quilting like I never did before. I used to get frustrated and would finish a quilt by hand quilting. Now I just love getting a quilt made in a shorter time. The feet that you buy for this machine are great also. Wish the controls would stay the same number when it is turned off and I am working on a project continually since I have to write down what numbers I am using for that project so I can come back to those numbers when I turn it back on. That is the only thing that I wish otherwise the machine is great!!

Magnolia 7330 Nice but has a few problems
Friday, June 3, 2016

Although this is a good, basic machine it has a few problems. The machine has a difficult time starting a seam and will often drag the fabric down into the feed dogs. The special functions button is between the needle down and reverse buttons and is very easy to hit while trying to reverse. It is truly in the way, as you only use the special function button occasionally. I put tape over mine to keep me from accidentally hitting it when reversing. Finally, the space to feed the fabric through is very small (I'm referring to the area between the needle and the side of the machine). It's fine for smaller items but can be a pain when making something bulkier. You have to roll your fabric or be content with having it all bunched up. I would still recommend it as it is lightweight, the special functions buttons work very well and it's easy to thread.

Love This Machine!

This was my first machine and it's absolutely amazing. I've had it for a little over two years and it's been really great to me, I have had zero issues. I learned to sew on this machine and have made everything from pillow covers to thick denim jeans with no issue. It's simple and easy to use and has a pretty good variety of stitches to choose from. It's a great beginner machine but I've sewn some pretty advanced items on it, so it's not just for beginners. I have no desire to buy another machine, I'll be using this one until it just can't go anymore!

It has been a good machine. A few problems with fabric hanging up in feed dogs. Not much space for bigger projects. I would recommend to quilters. Great size for retreats!

7330 Magnolia

My Magnolia 7330 is a great machine. I bring this baby to all my classes. Just finished my first quilt. Have the 9700 too and she is my favorite as I like to embroider. But unlike my 7330 she is not light to carry.

I loved the Magnolia but gave it up for a more sophiscated model. Once Janome girl always a Janome girl.

Magnolia 7330
Thursday, July 26, 2018

I have owned my Magnolia for nearly 4 years. Since buying it, I have finished at least 10 quilts, multiple table runners, place mats, wall hangings, shopping bags, make-up bags, throw pillows and purses. While the machine is really too small to quilt large projects, I quilt everything else with the open-toe foot and the even feed foot. Unfortunately, the walking foot attachment cracked quickly when I tried to insert the adjustable quilting guide. The plastic flange of the foot is too fragile for the metal attachment. The foot still works; I cannot use the guide. Overall, for a small and lightweight machine, I am very satisfied. My only wish is that Janome made an extension table for this model.

I love my Magnolia 7330

I am new to sewing. I have used this machine on denim, stretch jersey, satin and cotton. It doesn't care what kind of fabric. It knows what to do. So quiet, quite the work horse.

Fantastic machine

I've made a dozen or so quilts on this machine. The only problem I had, after a couple years, was the foot pedal failed. Once that was replaced, it works like new again. I love the speed control, the ease of threading it, the availability of accessories. Mostly I love that it just hums along nice and steady. In fact, I like it so well I bought a second one!

I love my new Magnolia 7330. I am a novice sewist but this machine has inspired me. I am trying to do newer stitches & projects that I would not have considered in the past. Can't wait to start another project!

My new Magnolia is perfect for my projects
Thursday, July 26, 2018

This Magnolia machine is a great machine for both small projects and and larger projects. I am an intermediate level sewer, and I have been using mine to make baby quilts, and other items for baby gifts. It was easy to learn to use, and I haven't had any problems with it. It is quick to adjust stitching or to switch to a different type of stitch. I am very pleased I purchased this machine.

Sewing has become so much more enjoyable! Love the automatic buttonhole and several of the programmed stitches. I found it easy to use with help of the manual.

Great machine
Friday, July 27, 2018

Bought this machine after my 45 year old Singer bit the dust. Love the up/down needle function, as well as the digital screen. Stitches great, on all the different fabrics I have tried. Use it mainly for quilting, and it pieces well. I quilted a few small quilts on it, but it is very frustrating as the size is small. It makes it very difficult to get the quilt through the bed space, so I bought another Janome machine that is much, much larger, so quilting a full size quilt is much easier. Use the Magnolia for classes, as it is much lighter. I loved it so much, I bought a second Magnolia7330 for a vacation home we have. It is a great entry level digital machine with great stitching, basic functions, and light weight for ease in transporting to class. I love it!

I loved my Magnolia 7330. It was my first Janome. I had not sewn in many years but now wish I had kept it for my granddaughters. It would have been the perfect machine for them. Instead I traded it for one of the first Skyline S5s.

Best decision I've made recently!!!
Friday, July 27, 2018

I've had my 7330 almost a year and I LOVE it!!! It will do very thing my old machine wouldn't such as: needle down/up, moving needle from one side to the other, reverse button, fancy stitches, etc. I've been sewing baby clothes, tote bags, wallets, and purses. Everything turns out well, even the zippers!! Thanks, Janome!!

Magnolia 7330: Review after one year
Friday, July 27, 2018

This is my first sewing machine; I've never sewn or quilted before. It is very good for a beginner like me. An avid quilter-friend was amazed at the number of different stitches it has and assured me that I would be happy with this machine... and I am! Small projects are very easy to do. I haven't quilted my quilt yet so we'll see how that goes. Love it!

This is a great machine and does everything I need it to do. I've had this machine for about 2.5 years and have used various fabrics including fleece, cotton, terry cloth, plastic, and more. I've never had any problems.

I love my Magnolia 7330! I am using it to sew items I sell at craft shows. It has been wonderful and is constantly in use year round. Love that it can sew through very thick fabric and multiple layers of fabric. Love that you can wind the bobbin without having to unthread the machine. I bought this machine to be a back-up to my other Janome machine, but I love the Magnolia so much, I'm no longer using the other one, and it has become my back-up instead. You just can't go wrong the with Magnolia!

Great machine for sewing knits
Sunday, July 29, 2018

I did a lot of research before investing in a new machine. I did not need all the bells and whistles of the very expensive machines, but I wanted one which could do all the stitches you need to sew knit fabrics. I did have to buy the walking foot, but with that and the standard feet that come with the machine, it's been really great! I have had it for about 3 years, with no maintenance issues. It's very quiet, compared to other machines I test-drove before buying. It also sews wovens well. I highly recommend this for sewing apparel, knit or woven fabrics. My only complaint is that the manual isn't very comprehensive. I had to look online for explanations of what some of the stitches are used for. However, this is such a popular brand that you will be able to search and find answers to most questions from other sewists.

Quilter Killing Machine
Sunday, July 29, 2018

Hi - I had a different manufactorer before I had this Janome. I made over 60 quilts in one year and it killed that machine. I expect to make the same and I have a great feeling I will not have to worry about killing the Janome. I haven't been quilting long and I'm learning so much so quickly. I do wish there was something that the Janome family could do to help others learn by others Watching a Webinar, a sample of what is out there, I must say, I think this "begining" machine of Janome will put up a great view!!! Thank ou for helping me learn more what my mother wanted me to learn. Many Blessings, Eve

Versatile and Accurate
Monday, July 30, 2018

This is the first modern machine I've sewn on or owned, and I am delighted. Love the "modern" features like speed control, auto threading, needle up/down and so on. Even more, I just appreciate the amazing versatility of the machine. It sews everything from thin satin fabric to some pretty heavy leather, all without fiddling around with settings. I have yet to find a fabric it won't sew with ease and accuracy. I'm just learning how to use all the special stitches, but am already so in love with this fine machine. Is it really supposed to be a beginning machine? I'd never have noticed!

I have a larger Janome sewing/embroidery machine and the Magnolia 7330 is perfect for taking to class and to use for sewing while embroidering. Easy to use, precision Janome sewing features, good variety of stitches. Perfect from an experienced sewist as well as a someone new to the craft.

Bought this machine in a moment of desperation as I was in the middle of a big project when my old machine decided to die. It got me through the project with no issues and has been a pleasure to use ever since! I couldn't be happier!
