Parts for 2000D Professional Airthread
I bought my machine about 14 months ago and love it.

I was stitching a left needle flatlock, using the workbook and CD. I felt I had the machine set up properly and the needle broke. I put in a second needle same thing. Both were Janome serger needles. The third time the machine started to work properly and then the stitches would not roll out. Instead, they collected in one clomp on the bar.

I needed a razor blade to cut through the clomp.

I stopped sewing, of course, and took the machine to my dealer. They have had the machine for 6 weeks and say it is the needles under the faceplate that are the problem

They ordered the parts 6 weeks ago and still haven't received the part.

One explanation is that the part has to come from Japan, and they have no idea when it will get here.

If I had known parts were such a big problem, I would not have bought a Janome 2000D air threader. I have a Janome Sewing machine and had an older Janome serger and have had no problems.

Is there something you can do to expedite the order?

No, Unfortunately this is a "Supply Chain" issue and even Janome has no control over it. COVID did a wonderful thing to all of us on this planet and the controls that were put in place by our governments. You just have to be patient. I wanted for 16 months to get a new van that was ordered from the factory. Computer chips were the shortage then and my new sewing machine took 4 months to arrive and that was after the restrictions for COVID were lifted.

You just have to be patient. The serger is a good machine, but unfortunately you just happened to have one that has a issue - not your fault. It just happens sometimes. If you kept your old serger, you can use it to do what needs doing until yours is repaired.

Janome isn't the only company that has these problems. My son works in a totally unrelated to sewing field and he is the Supply Chain Manager there and tells us of delays all the time.

To the back side of the pigtails and crewcuts locations
bobbin case and jams my needle witch is bent/broken in the case and some times I can bring it up but other times I have had to take it in to get it undone.

  3. Bobbin Cases - RE: Parts for 2000D Professional Airthread

Bobbin Cases are a totally different issue altogether, but a very frustrating problem when it happens. My advice is to do a double check when threading your sewing machine. Make sure that your thread is in the take-up lever. It will make a click sound when it is engaging as you thread through the take-up lever - this is one of the places that the thread sometimes will come out of the thread path. Also check the bobbin to be use that the thread is coming off the bobbin counterclockwise and thread the tension disks.

However, IF your bobbin case has spun out and been pierce by a breaking needle or scored as it spun out, you probably should take it in for a check-up and a new bobbin case. The bobbin case coming out of its holding spot can play havoc with the machine timing and then you will continue to have this issue.

When threading a needle on a sewing machine, it pays to be extra careful. Ensure sure the take-up lever is threaded with your thread basket random. As you thread through the take-up lever, you'll hear a distinct click; this is one of the points where thread can accidentally disengage from the spool.

I have a different Janome serger and I have the same problem, doing the 2 thread flatlock, broke 2 separate needles . Not willing to break anymore, I don’t want to take my machine in if the result is a long wait for parts, Janome needs to provide some clear instructions on how to make this work

Reach out to Janome's customer support directly to inquire about the status of the parts order and express your concern about the delay. They should be able to provide you with more information regarding the availability and estimated shipping time for the required parts. insulation joplin mo
