Winner of the Halloween Costume Contest

Last month, Janome hosted its first Halloween Costume Contest where people could submit unlimited entries of home sewn past or present-day costumes. Out of 1,067 entries, the winner of the contest and new owner of a Skyline S5 was Melissa D. from Utah. She picked up her machine at Nuttal's Fabric Center in American Fork, UT.

Melissa made this adorable lion costume. The top image located below was from Melissa's submission and the bottom photograph shows Melissa and her cute little lion picking up the Skyline S5 at the dealership.

    Congratulations Melissa!

    Made with the Skyline S7

Janome Artisan Merrick White from Merrick's Art made a beautiful ruched bodycon dress with the new Skyline S7. Merrick is excitingly a few months pregnant and made the ruched part of the dress to perfectly fit over her baby bump. She mentions in her post that you can skip the ruching part if you are not pregnant.

Merrick mostly used the straight stitch on the on the Skyline S7 for this bodycon dress. She explains that you can tell the difference between the most basic stitch options on the S7 compared to other models because the machine is so precise and balanced. It makes sewing necklines, zippers, sleeves and everything else a total breeze.
