The Built-in One-step Converter makes changing from 3-thread to 2-thread applications easier than ever. And with a built-in needle threader, manually threading your serger needles becomes easier than ever. One unit provides threading of both the right and left position needles.

This is my second serger. I upgraded from a White serger to the Air Thread 2000D. This machine is amazing! I would fight with my previous serger a lot regarding the start of a seam on thin knit fabrics. I would have to use a piece of interfacing to start each seam on thinner knit fabrics (on my previous machine). I've never had any issues with sewing fabrics with the AirThread. I didn't realize how much of a difference higher quality feed dogs make on a serger. I thought my previous issue was me but I didn't realize it was the machine! I highly recommend this machine! It's great for a beginner as the Air Thread option makes the machine easy to thread and the feed dogs make serging any fabric a breeze on this machine. One of my favorite features is the ease of converting from a 4 thread standard seam to a 3 thread rolled hem. You just flip a couple of switches, its really easy!

I'll admit I wanted a different machine. This one changed my mine. After owning 5 sergers and various brands - this is where I stop. I wish it had a free arm but I work it out! I LOVE THIS MACHINE!!! Stitch quality is wonderful, tension dials don't move and it's krazy easy to thread!!!

This machine has made dealing with fabrics I once swore off for good a breeze! Its incredibly handy when finishing difficult edges on materials like faux fur, stringy wovens and stretchy knits. Even after putting this guy through the wringer, he (I have named him Appa) pulls through delicate fabrics without leaving a mark! I especially love finishing sheer organza and crepes with the rolled hem settings. I forgot to mention threading (which used to be the most daunting part) because it has ceased to be a headache! The new air-fed threading system feels like magic

Oh my gosh, this serger is so easy to thread, the airlock system has made changing colors a breeze. I also appreciate the many safety features built in to help make sure you don't accidentally start sewing when you're not ready to.
